This morning, I recieved my travel itinerary. So, to start, I'll say what I'm doing.
- I report to the MTC travel office at 2:30 PM on July 29th. We'll then drive to the Salt Lake Airport.
- My first flight is from Salt Lake to Los Angeles.
- After a two and a half hour layover in LAX, I fly straight to Sydney. Due to time changes, I'll arrive at 7:40 AM on July 31st.
Suprisingly, that's it.
That means that my visa must have gone through. I've been made travel
group leader over a group of 4 missionaries including myself, Elder Han,
and two others who I haven't met yet.
Anyway,
as far as MTC life goes, not too much has changed. Korean is still
hard, but I am making progress. It's weird to think that two months ago,
I spoke absolutely no Korean, and now I can talk about basic gospel
principles. We had a new group of Korean speakers come in this week, 4
elders and 3 sisters. As far as I know, none of them speak much english,
but they're all very nice, and I look forward to talking with them more
in the next week.
I've
learned a lot here at the MTC. I've learned how to serve those around
me and be the best missionary that I can be by doing that. Like St.
Francis of Assisi said: "Preach the Gospel at all times, and, if
necessary, use words." I think that I'll find just how true and
applicable that quote is to missionary work.
One more week here at the MTC! Two emails from now, I'll be in Australia!
Thanks to everyone for your support.
