Week 101 - Short and Sweet

We've had a great week! Our less-active work has exploded as we've started working with some of the people that the ward has asked us to visit. The members of the ward have also been eager to have us over and to work with us. Things are still looking up!

Several missionaries have gotten sick over the course of the week, so we've been helping them to take care of themselves. On one of these visits to the companionships, I was asked to give a blessing. It was one of those times when you feel like you're saying exactly what the Holy Ghost is telling you to say. As we left, I felt so good about it all. I don't know exactly how to describe what I felt, but I just felt like the Holy Ghost was telling me "See? That's how you do it."

With all of the less-active members we've been working with, we've gotten some new opportunities to adjust our teaching. One thing that has worked for some of the people we meet with is to teaching them how to teach the missionary lessons. Some of the less-active young single adults have desires to serve missions, and this allows us to both help them learn how to teach and strengthen their understanding and testimony of the doctrines of the gospel.

This is another part of my letter that will need a bit of a preface. This week, President Howes has asked us to respond to this:
"You want to transform someone and their view about the gospel. You only have one sentence."

One sentence to transform a person's view of the gospel: "The gospel of Jesus Christ is more than belief, it a way of life that provides endless opportunity to become the more than the best you can be."

There it is. I could go on for a while explaining why I wrote that, but that would defeat the purpose of only having one sentence.

Anyway,
Love,
