Week 11 - Wait, I look like who?

When I was in the MTC, one of my teachers told me that I would probably be told that I looked like Mr. Bean. Last friday, that's exactly what happened. We were having dinner with a few of the members who were students at the University, and when they heard that I was a twin, the first thing that one member said was "Oh, two Mr. Beans!" At first I was a little confused, but then I realized what had just happened. I don't know if this story has a moral, but it's another awesome experience that I've had here.
Anyway, this week has kept me pretty busy. I've been able to teach a couple of lessons to new investigators, have dinner with a few of the students, and I've done a lot of street contacting. We've had a great time here, and I know that it'll only get better as time goes on.

We had a chance to meet with President and Sister Howes again for zone interviews. They are definitely some of the nicest and most sincere people I've ever met. It's good to know that I've got such a great Mission President and Mission Mum. We had the chance to talk about my first week and how I am settling into missionary life.

We've been teaching a lot about the restoration lately, and it's really helped me to develop my testimony in the truthfulness of the gospel and it's restoration. I know that Joseph Smith was truly a prophet, and the Book of Mormon was brought forth by the power of God. I know that when we read it, we can learn so much and understand different things every time we read it. I know that the church, and all that it claims, is true.

It's been great to get to know the people of Australia, and I'm sure that I still have much to learn over the time that I'm here.

Love,
Elder Clark
