I'm surprised how
fast my birthday came this year. It seriously feels like only yesterday
that I arrived in Australia and came to the UNSW area. Time goes by so
fast here. At this rate, I'll be home before you can say "Our purpose is
to ever more effectively invite others to come unto Christ by helping
them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and his
Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and
enduring to the end." I hope it doesn't go by that fast though, this is
an amazing time to be on a mission, and I'm looking forward to serving
every day.
I'm really loving it
here. This week marks the start of a new "transfer", which is why this
email is coming in a day late. One of the Elders in my flat, Elder
Rawlinson, finished his mission this week, which means that we have a
new Elder in the apartment, Elder Au from China. He's a fantastic elder,
and I'm looking forward to getting to know him.
Our
teaching pool is slowly but surely growing. We have had a fantastic
time meeting new people and sharing the message of the gospel with them.
I know that as they apply the things they learn, they'll gain a better
understanding of God, Jesus Christ, and themselves.
On
Friday, I got to go to the mission office in Carlingford to take a
driving certification test. It was a little different to drive on the
left hand side of the road, but I think that I'm getting the hang of it.
If I get transfered to an area with a car, I'm sure that I'll be able
to drive just fine.
Well, it's been another amazing week in Australia, and I look forward to writing to you all again. Thanks for all you do!
Elder Clark
