This transfer has gone so fast. It's amazing to think of everything that's happened in what seems so short a time. It's been a really good week for us as a companionship. We've found some great new investigators and potential investigators, some of whom are Korean.
One of the biggest miracles we had this week was actually not an experience of our own, but one of a new investigator of ours. He's an American living in Sydney and going to school. He's been having a rough time with his life lately, and a few days ago, he decided to start praying again. The next day, someone gave him a pamphlet talking about how much Jesus loves everyone. The day after that, he met us. He recognizes that God is answering his prayers, but he's not really sure about being a member of a specific church and having all of the stereotypes that come along with it. That said, he does feel that we are doing what we're doing because we legitimately care about people and have something that will help them. We've still got quite a ways to go to help him experience the gospel, but we know that we met him that day for a reason.
Another good experience we had this week was a teaching appointment we had at the chapel. We were teaching a new investigator about prayer after giving him a short chapel tour. He was understanding things really well and committed himself to pray before we could even invite him. He's really eager to learn more and build a relationship with God. He doesn't live in the ward, so we'll work with referring him to his missionaries, but we've been able to see him off to a great start.
I really enjoyed Conference, especially Elder Hamula's talk about the sacrament. That talk taught me so many new things about something I thought I had understood pretty well, I mean, I've seen it happen on a nearly weekly basis for my entire life, but his talk taught me so much about the "why" of the sacrament. Remembering what Jesus Christ has done for us as well as remembering what he now does for us made this week's sacrament meeting so much more sacred. It helped me realize that this week has been another opportunity to become more and do more than before, and that now I get that chance again, and that I can have that chance every week for the rest of my life. How great is that!

Preach My Gospel chapter two has shown me how to look at the scriptures with more interested and humble eyes. I know that a habit of studying the gospel has given me more strength in the difficult times of my mission than almost anything else.
This week, we're going to study the doctrines of the missionary lessons in Chapter 3. I've read over the first few pages, and I'm already seeing things in ways I haven't before. So, this is going be great!
Love,
Elder Clark
